Making a difference
After attending the Save the Book Babe event I just wanted to comment on how wonderful it is to see so many people coming together (friends, family, and complete strangers) to aid someone in need. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, so the event hit close to the heart. I know many of the people that attended the event or participated in it have been affected by breast cancer. I know that Adam Watts’ mother is a breast cancer survivor too.
(See my welcome post for more information about the Adam Watts Band. They are awesome!)
It is never easy to watch someone you love suffer. That was one of the reasons my sister and I drove 13 hours to attend the event! We left Thursday night and got back very early Monday morning, because I had class. Being a part of such a tremendous event (even though all I did was watch) is such an amazing experience.
