What can you do…anything!

I have been volunteering all my life for a variety of organizationkenya-113s.  I even had the opportunity to spend time in Kenya working at a school for the deaf, an orphanage, and a local hospital.  I witnessed miracles that we take for granted everyday.  I hope to write more about some of these experiences later.  I will also be traveling to Thailand this summer with the same organization.

(For those of you interested in the organization it is called YouthLINC, and you can check them out at http://www.youthlinc.org/)

My point in this post is to let anyone reading it know that making a difference in the lives of others is not difficult.  You don’t have to put on a huge event like (although it is entirely possible if you work hard) or travel across the world.  All you have to do is “see a need, fill a need” (quoted from the animated movie Robots)

You may not change the world, but you can change the world for one person!

I think Helen Keller said it best when she said, ” I am only one, but still I am one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.  And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something I can do.”
